Career and Trading Opportunities in Derivatives Market

With over 25 years of experience in the capital market, Wan Intan started her career in the broking industry. She was a former licensed representative in the equity (Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange - KLSE) and derivatives (Kuala Lumpur Options & Financial Futures Exchange - KLOFFE) broking industries respectively, at the beginning of her career. She was a former registered MESDAQ trader and a qualified Floor Trader when the open - outcry system was in place at the Malaysian Monetary Exchange (MME) and Commodity & Monetary Exchange of Malaysia (COMMEX). Post-migration to electronic trading, her experience spanned through dealing with products from equity, index futures, interest rate futures, bond futures, crude palm oil futures and options. Having past experience with the investment bank and as ex-regulator Bursa Malaysia Berhad personnel, she had the benefit of being involved in various capacities in risk management, compliance, audit, marketing, strategy, branding & communications, financial planning, education, product development (conventional / Islamic) either directly or indirectly. She has now retired and selectively participates in stints as Advisor, Trainer or Educator. She actively supports digital education, financial literacy and community building programs.
