Having more than 20 years of experience in the capital markets and related financial services industry, Faridah’s career began in early 1990’s with Aseambankers Malaysia Berhad in Project Finance and later in Corporate Banking. During the financial crisis in late 90’s Faridah joined Danaharta Managers Sdn Bhd in 1999 (the organisation responsible for recovering Sime Bank’s bad loans). She was tasked with overseeing the restructuring and recovery of more than 30 local and foreign non-performing loans for large corporations with average exposures of more than RM100 million.
In 2006, Faridah joined RHB Investment Bank Berhad in the Managing Director’s Office. In the decade spent with RHB, she managed various special projects and business transformation as well as corporate strategy, amassing invaluable experience in key organisational transformation approach.
Faridah was part of the team that oversaw the 5-year strategic initiatives under RHB Banking Group (IGNITE) and improving productivity and efficiency project (ASAP) for RHB Investment Bank.
Faridah holds a BSc in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics and Political Science, United Kingdom.
