Alex Tan is the Forensics Leader at PwC Malaysia and PwC Vietnam, with over 35 years of investigative experience. Formerly with the Royal Hong Kong Police and New Zealand’s Serious Fraud Office, Alex specializes in fraud, corruption, money laundering, and governance. Since 2013, he has led over 350 forensic investigations across sectors like financial services, construction, and healthcare in Southeast Asia and beyond. A Certified Fraud Examiner, Alex advises on anti-fraud and corruption risks, including compliance with Section 17A of Malaysia’s Anti-Corruption Commission Act. He is part of PwC’s Global Forensics Leadership Council and regularly conducts training on governance and ethics.
