Anand Pathmakanthan

Regional Head, Equity Research at Maybank Investment Bank (MIBG)

 

 

Anand Pathmakanthan has over 25 years of sell-side research experience with long stints in CLSA, Nomura and Macquarie, prior to him joining Maybank equity research in August 2019.

While much of his career focus has been on Malaysia-centric research, especially on banks and overall market strategy, he was also the Head of ASEAN Banks Research during his four years with Nomura Singapore, where he developed a greater insight and appreciation of the broader ASEAN economic landscape and potential.

 

Anand has a Bachelor of Science in Economics (Honours) from the London School of Economics, an LLB (Honours) from the University of London and is also a CFA Charterholder. He received his EFFAS Certified ESG Analyst (CESGA) certification last year.
