Daniel Choong is BNP Paribas Assets Management’s (BNPP AM) Malaysia CEO and is responsible for accelerating and strengthening the firm’s local business interests, while driving its sustainable solution offerings across the market’s clients groups. He is armed with over 26 years of experience in financial services and the investment management industry; and an excellent knowledge of Institutional client segments across conventional and Islamic businesses.

Daniel has held senior roles across financial firms in Singapore and Malaysia, including ABN AMRO Asset Management (Singapore), and Nomura Islamic Asset Management Sdn. Bhd (Malaysia). Prior to joining BNPP AM, he was Managing Director / Board of Director Head of Distribution for abrdn Malaysia Sdn. Bhd where he oversaw the overall management of the firm’s local set up; and the Business Development team across the Institutional and Wholesale client segments for Malaysia and part of the South East Asia team. Daniel holds a Bachelor of Business degree, majoring in Economics and Finance from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT), Australia.
