Nooryusazli currently leads corporate sustainability, strategic planning, business development, and enterprise risk management functions at Majuperak Holdings Berhad. He anticipates and sustainably manages strategic and sustainability impacts of current and future activities and legacy issues to the advantage of companies and the communities in which they operate. He has a track record of working strategically and cross-functionally with C-level policymakers and influencers to safeguard people, assets, business, and corporate reputation.
Before his current position, Nooryusazli served as Chief Strategy and Sustainability Officer at NEPS Capital, Chief Transformation Officer at Sapura Secured Technologies and Vice President, Strategic Planning at Mubadala Investment Company in the U.A.E. Before that, Nooryusazli worked at Saudi Aramco in Saudi Arabia and PETRONAS, serving various positions, e.g., Head, Corporate Portfolio, Strategic Planning and Head, Country Risks (Asia, Americas, Europe, Russia, and Australasia), International Business Unit. He previously worked at Union Carbide Corporation, a subsidiary of Dow Chemicals in the U.S.A.
He has 20+ years of experience working at Fortune 500 multinationals, sovereign wealth funds and state-owned enterprises, serving corporate sustainability, strategic planning, and risk management functions across the oil, gas, renewable energy, chemicals, sovereign investment, property, and telecommunication sectors. He also speaks at various forums and seminars, e.g., Chief Sustainability Officer Roundtable 2023 on Green Hydrogen.
Nooryusazli holds a BSc. degree in Chemical Engineering from Washington University, U.S.A., MSc. in International Securities, Investment and Banking from the University of Reading, U.K., and an MBA from Cranfield School of Management, U.K. He earns certifications in Mergers and Acquisitions from London Business School, U.K., and Circular Economy and Sustainability Strategies from the University of Cambridge, U.K. He received the United Kingdom government’s international Chevening scholarship.
Outside work, he serves as a global board advisor at Sapio Analytics in India. He mentors the young generation through youth community programs in partnership with the Chevening Alumni and Prince’s Trust International, U.K.
