Peter Murray is the Head of Financial Services Industry in ASEAN at AWS.

He joined AWS in early 2019 to drive AWS’s growth strategy in the South East Asia region across regulated financial services institutions like Banks, Insurance, and Digital Native challengers, as well as Independent Software Vendors who are delivering industry solutions leveraging the world’s most popular Public Cloud platform.

The AWS FSI strategy works backward from specific challenges which are presenting long term transformation opportunities such as Core Modernisation, Digital Banking, and Data and Analytics built upon the strongest foundations of Security and Compliance and Workforce Transformation.

Prior to joining AWS, Peter spent 2 years leading the APAC commercial startup platform for Delta Capita, a challenger Technology and Business Managed Services and Consulting firm headquartered in London.

Peter started his career in Banking and has 15 years’ of experience with ANZ Banking Group, as well as Macquarie Bank, and National Australia Bank. At ANZ he was the Global Head of Client Services and Head of Product Management for the Global Markets Operations business.

He is based in Singapore and as lived here since 2013.
