Rashyid, Chief Sustainability Officer of SD Guthrie Berhad has over 22 years of experience in sustainability, corporate strategy, and change management across various sectors.

Under his leadership, SD Guthrie achieved a global milestone in 2023 as the first palm oil company to have its net-zero targets approved by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). More recently, SD Guthrie launched its new sustainability framework, Beyond Zero, a commitment to minimise the company’s footprint while actively restoring ecosystems, uplifting livelihoods, and driving responsible growth. He continues to be instrumental in promoting responsible and ethical production across the Group’s global operations. Rashyid was previously part of the regional leadership team for PricewaterhouseCoopers Southeast Asia Consulting’s Sustainability and Climate Change practice. He holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical and electronic engineering from Imperial College London.
