The SIDC wishes to inform that the study outline for Module 16: Rules and Regulations of Futures and Options (“Module 16”) and Module 17: Securities and Derivatives Trading (Rules and Regulations) (“Module 17”) have been amended to reflect the amendments to the Rules of Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Berhad (“Rules”) which aim to enhance the framework and processes for inspections, investigations and disciplinary actions and to replace the dispute resolution framework with a more efficient process. The revised study outline will take effect from 1 November 2016.
In addition, the study outline for Module 19: Advisory Services (Rules and Regulations) and Module 19A: Advisory Services (Rules and Regulations) – Part A, have also been revised pursuant to the introduction of the rule book on the revised Takeovers and Mergers framework by Securities Commission Malaysia. The revised study outline will also take effect from 1 November 2016.
Therefore, candidates sitting for the above modules from 1 November 2016 onwards are advised to refer to the revised study outlines applicable from November to December 2016 to prepare for the examination.
