Leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Growing the Digital Economy

The race for AI supremacy has been at the top of mind despite global economic slowdown. With research showing that AI has the potential to transform productivity and double economic growth, major economies are making sure that AI leadership is on high priority. BigTech companies are aggressively pushing for AI discoveries. AI startups are getting a big chunk of investments, even when the startup and venture capital ecosystem are cooling down. Retail’s euphoria of AI’s generative ability are pushing forward AI’s growth in diverse industries.

Moving into its 3rd year at the starting point of Horizon 2 (2023 – 2025) of its strategic initiatives, we will take stock of Malaysia’s National AI Roadmap (AI-Roadmap) transformation developments for the ecosystem and major industries’ adoption of AI. The programme will also discuss the use cases of the AI-Roadmap national priority areas from smart cities and transportation, education, healthcare to plantation.

Beyond this, the programme will also delve into AI transformation as the next step after digital transformation for financial services and the capital markets. We will look at the accelerated AI developments and their impact in FinTech, valuation and future trends.
