We are pleased to announce that the Securities Industry Development Corporation (SIDC) has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Universiti Tun Abdul Razak (UNIRAZAK). The MoU was signed on 15 February 2021.
The MoU signals the intent between both parties to enter into a strategic partnership that is centered on driving professional development and to ensure a sustainable supply of quality talent to fulfil increasing industry demands in the Malaysian capital market.
UNIRAZAK was established in 1997 and is one of the first private universities in Malaysia. Known for its coveted degrees which were jointly developed in partnership with globally renowned professional bodies, UNIRAZAK is firmly established as a premier School of Business, Governance & Education in Kuala Lumpur.
The collaboration will involve efforts between both parties on the accreditation and embedding of SIDC’s professional papers, notably the Securities Commission Licensing Examinations (SCLE) into UNIRAZAK’s Bachelor in Commerce (Honours) via majoring framework. The SCLE forms part of the `fit and proper’ criteria for those aspiring to be licensed representatives of capital market employers, thus this initiative will provide students with the necessary specialisation and practical skills to improve the level of graduate employability in the competitive world of finance and investment.
We are enthusiastic that this partnership will help advance mutual objectives for learning and development and open up further opportunities for collaboration and understanding between UNIRAZAK and SIDC.
